Payment:

We accept most major credit cards. You may pay instantly on-line through our secure server for fastest shipping. Items paid by credit card or PayPal ship next business day in most cases, holidays excluded. We ship daily! For your personal security all personal information provided to us, your name, email, shipping address etc. is handled through our Private SSL Certificate (Secure Socket Layer) meaning all personal information transmitted to or from our server is encrypted using the latest 128-256 bit encryption security technology. All credit card payments are handled through our secure server but run through PayPal for added security your card will be charged by RED ENTERPRISES.

For those who don't feel comfortable buying on-line we also accept credit card payments over the phone. Simply make your purchase and select "payment by check" as the payment type - then call 704-254-3573 between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm eastern time and have your credit card handy.

We do accept personal and business checks as well (USA customers only), however shipping will be delayed until your check clears our bank, usually 7 to 10 business days. The buyer will be responsible for any bank fees for checks returned NSF. Please make checks payable to RED ENTERPRISES

Shipping:

Each model has a flat rate shipping and handling fee for all customers within the lower 48 states. We do not ship outside the US. 

Sometimes a model that may be a few extra inches larger may cost significantly more to ship because of the shipping container size classifications. Recent increases in shipping rates have affected our shipping prices.

We ship every day and try to use the safest and most reliable carriers. Most orders are sent signature required for your protection. If you have a problem with your order, please follow our return policy below to expedite the handling of your claim.

Shipping, packaging and crating affects the shipping price greatly. Many of our tall ships are so complicated to rig that they are shipped fully assembled with the masts standing and are crated in large wooden crates to protect your investment. Most sailboats, Yachts and Speed Boat models are overpacked in foam with foam pellets or double boxed. With some of our taller or more simply rigged ships, like some of our America’s Cup Yachts, it may be necessary for you to stand the masts and do a little rigging due to size restrictions on shipping, while other yachts are shipped with the masts standing at higher shipping costs. In most cases the standing of masts can be accomplished in a matter of minutes. Call us if you have difficulty. It is very labor intensive to inspect and package each model. Building a crate and packaging a model is not an easy task, from our most economical models to our most expensive models. We take every precaution to ensure your model arrives on time and in excellent condition.

We are proud to say we have a very low percentage of ships that are returned from damage claims – a testament to our quality packaging and crating.

Damage and Return Policy

Our models are each hand built and no two are exactly the same. Because of this, they may vary slightly in appearance from the pictures on our site. The pictures don't do the models justice. They are even more magnificent to view in person and we've had no complaints, however if you're not completely delighted with one of our models, we will refund your purchase or exchange your model. In order to receive a refund or an exchange, you have 3 days to contact us.

The instructions below are designed to expedite the return of your model. Each of the steps below must be followed in order for Ship Model Super Store to provide you with a satisfactory experience.

Return of a model or model kit that was damaged during shipping

All other orders contact us immediately (within 3 days of delivery) Send us (via email or hardcopy) pictures of the damage to the model and the shipping container (within 7 days). These are required by the shipping company in order for us to file a damage claim. Place the item in the original package, exactly as it was packaged when you recieved it. Include all the paperwork, parts and accessories that were included with the model.

Obtain a return shipping authorization number from us. Please note - sending the model or model kit back to us without prior authorization voids your eligibility for a replacement or refund because this voids the damage claim eligibility with the shipping company. Return the model to the ship from address and provide us with a tracking number. Insure the shipment for your purchase price including shipping. E-mail info@shipmodelsuperstore.com, call 704-254-3573 or mail to P.O. Box 611, Marshville, NC, 28103 us a tracking number. Your replacement will be shipped back to you. We can not be responsible for losses resulting from damage in transit. We will assist you in any way possible to file your claim.

Return of a model or model kit you are unsatisfied with (not excepting delivery falls in this category)

There are no refunds on custom builds. Contact us immediately (within 3 days of delivery). Send pictures and description of issue to info@shipmodelsuperstore.com. Obtain a return authorization number from us. Place the item securely in the original package, exactly as it was packaged. Once opened there are no returns of model kits, we will assist you in getting replacement or missing parts from the manufacturer (this can take up to 8 weeks) Please package the assembled model exactly as it arrived. If the model is not repackaged this way, damage will occur. Include all paperwork, parts and accessories that were included with the model and ship the model back to us. Email us the tracking number of the shipment. We will notify you when we receive the model and ensure that it is in saleable condition. If the model is in saleable condition, we will process your refund or exchange (usually within 10 days after recieving it - 21 days at the absolute most).

The refund will be in the same form of payment equal to the total printed on your invoice less shipping and a restocking fee deducted from your refund. Refunds exclude shipping and handling (unless there was a shipping mistake). If shipping and handling was included in the model price, our standard shipping rates will be deducted. Our model are each hand built and no two are exactly the same. Your model may vary in appearance slightly from the pictures because each is handmade. For special order models, refunds are not offered, only store credits. If you fail to follow the instructions above, your return or exchange will be void.
